About Anthony As a child, the wild turkey always intrigued me. At that time, turkey hunting was just starting to get big. I worked to gain as much knowledge about the bird as I could. Then, sometime in the late 90s, I went to a turkey hunting seminar, and met a great friend and mentor–Jeff Fredrick of Champions Choice Turkey Calls. At that time, Jeff was the current WI State turkey calling champion, and we instantly became friends. With a lot of coaching and help, I too, decided to try my hand at contest calling. I’m happy to say I am now a multiple time Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa turkey calling champion! We learned the off-the-shelf calls at your local sporting goods stores are inferior and insufficient for contests. Jeff already had the best mouth calls out there, so all we needed was friction calls. I took it upon myself to see what I could do to provide the serious hunter and contest caller a superior sounding call. Today, I truly believe we have some of the best-sounding, most-consistent calls money can buy!
